The World of Textiles: An Interactive Workshop for Primary and Secondary School Students
Ever wondered how a simple shirt is made, or why it's important to know its origins? We offer a dynamic and interactive workshop designed for primary and secondary school students to explore these questions. Through engaging activities and hands-on examples, students will: • Discover the Journey of Textiles: Follow the fascinating process from thread creation to finished fabric. • Explore Different Fabrics: Get an up-close look at clothing and understand the differences between various textiles. • Identify Materials: Use samples to distinguish between natural and synthetic materials. • Reflect on Impact and Responsibility: Older students will also consider how clothing production affects the world and explore ways to make more responsible choices.
